Zeeshan Haq MD
Dr. Haq was raised in Rochester, Minnesota. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He majored in biochemistry and graduated with honors in research. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine where he graduated in the top quartile of his class.
He began his clinical training at the NorthShore University Health System where he was selected as the Transitional Intern of the Year. He then underwent ophthalmology residency training at the University of California at San Francisco. As a chief resident, he was selected as a recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award for Cherished Housestaff. This annual campus wide award is presented by the graduating medical school class to only five resident physicians who are deemed to be outstanding teachers, mentors, and role models to medical students. He then joined Retina Consultants of Minnesota in 2021 to complete his fellowship training and subsequently joined the group as a retina specialist. He has achieved full board certification as a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Haq is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, and Vit-Buckle Society.
He is an active clinical researcher. He has authored over 30 publications in the peer-reviewed literature and given numerous presentations at local, national, and international conferences.
